Church to hold chicken bog Sunday

Jan. 27—LUMBERTON — The Chestnut Street Methodist Church has planned a Doris' Kids Chicken Bog on Sunday, after the worship service at about 11:45 a.m.or thereafter in Asbury Hall.

Located at the corner of Chestnut and Eighth streets in Lumberton, the church will offer dine-in or takeout for a $5 donation.

All proceeds will go to the Doris Kay Paul Endowment Fund at Camp Rockfish and will help send kids to camp.

Paul, who attended Chestnut Street Methodist Church, with her parents and brother, was killed in a tragic car accident at the age of 21. She was active in many youth groups, working with community events, and worked at Camp Rockfish for several summers.
