Church news: Schoenbrunn Moravian Church to host Christmas in July Card Party
NEW PHILADELPHIA ‒ Schoenbrunn Community Moravian Church, 2200 E. High Ave., will have a Christmas in July Card Party from 6 to 9 p.m. July 31. Cost is $10, which includes soup, sandwich, salad, dessert and drink. There will be two door prize drawings. Seating is limited to 20 tables, so reservations are recommended by calling 330-343-8122 or 330-447-5556.
Community picnic, day camp for kids
SCIO ‒ Williamson Branch of Nashville will be featured at a community picnic and outdoor concert at New Rumley Global Methodist Church, 41395 Scio New Rumley Road, on July 28. The picnic will begin at 5:30 p.m., with the concert from 6:30 to 8 p.m. The event will be held on the lawn behind the church. In case of rain, it will be held indoors.
The church will also sponsor Rockin' at the Ranch: Jesus is our Rock! Aug. 8 at Faith Ranch Day Camp in Jewett. The program will run from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. and is open to children from kindergarten through the sixth grade. Rain date is Aug. 9. The program includes pony rides for ages 6 and under, horse trail rides for ages 7 and over, swimming, singing, games, small animal tour, picnic lunch, hands-on crafts and a hayride. Pre-registration is required. To register, send the child's name, age, address, telephone number and $5 fee to New Rumley Church, 41395 Scio New Rumley Road, Scio, Ohio 43988.
