When did the church begin? Zion has been in Monroe since 1848 and worshipped in Monroe’s old courthouse.

Service times: 9 a.m. Sundays and 7 p.m. Wednesday. An abbreviated service is held at 1:30 p.m. the second Tuesday of each month
Other times: Weekly Bible Study and Sunday School for kids, 10:15 a.m. Tuesday Morning Bible study is at 10 a.m.
Ministries offered by the church: Kindergarten through Grade 8 Christian school for members and non-members. The school also has prekindergarten for ages 3-4 with a morning session and an afternoon session.

Other information: Upcoming ministry events are “Journey to The Cross” on April 1, an interactive walk through of the events leading up to the Crucifixion of Jesus, and yearly Vacation Bible School. This year’s VBS is June 12-16.
