CIF State Wrestling Championships: Daily schedules and results
The CIF State Wrestling Championships action at the Mechanics Bank Arena officially gets underway this morning and will run through Saturday night.
The girls will hit the mats first for the first round starting at 9 a.m., while the boys get underway with the pig tail round scheduled for noon, which is the same time the second round gets started for the girls.
Three area boys drew matches in the pig tail round, looking to advance into the first round of brackets.
The boys first round begins at 2 p.m. Thursday, followed by second-round action at 5:30 p.m.
The boys and girls quarterfinals round will run at 1 p.m. Friday, with the rest of the day dedicated to the consolation brackets.
The boys and girls semifinals are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, with the title matches under the spotlight at 6:15 p.m.
