Cincinnati has 11 top 10 teams in 1st Ohio AP state football poll. Winton Woods leads DII

The Ohio Associated Press released its first statewide high school football poll on Monday, Sept. 5, featuring 11 Cincinnati-area teams that are top 10 in their respective divisions.

Leading the pack in Division II, defending state champion Winton Woods is No. 1, with Eastern Cincinnati Conference running mate Kings at No. 5.

Division I has a big local presence as Moeller was voted No. 2, Elder No. 3, Lakota West No. 4, Princeton No. 7 and Fairfield No. 9. In Division III, state runner-up Badin is No. 2 with Western Brown at No. 4.

Wyoming is third in Division IV with Reading receiving votes and Cincinnati Hills League partner Madeira was just barely out of the top 10 in Division V. In Division VI, Williamsburg under first-year coach Nick Ayers shows up at No. 8.
