Cincinnati Bengals, Paul Brown Stadium seating chart was useful in 2021 as attendance jumped

The Cincinnati Bengals are hosting their first playoff game in six years on Saturday against the Las Vegas Raiders at 4:30 p.m. inside Paul Brown Stadium.

The last time the Bengals played a postseason game at home was in January 2016, a loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers. The matchup, a 18-16 Steelers win, was close to a sellout with 63,257 fans in attendance.

The Bengals' previous home playoff game, in January 2014 loss to the Chargers, drew 62,277 fans.

With star quarterback Joe Burrow making his postseason debut, and the Bengals having a chance to snap an eight-game losing streak in the postseason, the organization could approach the 65,535 capacity number at Paul Brown Stadium this week.

During the losing streak, which includes an 0-7 stretch since snapping a 15-year postseason drought in 2006, the Bengals have hosted four playoff games. The largest crowd of the four games was the 31-17 loss to Pittsburgh in January 2006 with 65,870 fans in attendance.

How was Bengals, Paul Brown Stadium attendance in 2021?

In 2019, according to ESPN when the Bengals went 2-14 overall, Cincinnati was 31st, just ahead of the Los Angeles Chargers, in NFL fan attendance. The Chargers played in an MLS stadium that year, the smallest stadium in the league. The Bengals averaged just 47,179 fans in eight home games.

In 2018, Marvin Lewis' final season as head coach of the Bengals, Cincinnati also was 31st, with an average of 50,753 fans.

In 2021, the Bengals had the 22nd most fans in attendance and averaged 60,325 fans, which is about 92% capacity at games. It's one of the largest increases by any team in the NFL from 2019 to 2021.

Fan attendance in 2020 was limited in the NFL due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
