Cincinnati Bengals say team won’t reveal redesigned jerseys this month

Cincinnati Bengals fans anxious to see the team’s redesigned jerseys will have to wait a little bit longer.

Elizabeth Blackburn, Cincinnati’s director of strategy and engagement, recently popped up on Lance McAlister‘s 700 WLW radio show in Cincinnati and dropped some details about her involvement with the new jerseys and when they’re going to make the big reveal:

“The uniform project was in motion already but it was fun to get to be a part of taking that over the finish line and we’re very excited to roll those out….that’s top secret, but it’s not this month.”

Translation: Not in March.

Blackburn also dove into a discussion about honoring past players, improving the fan experience and more on the show not too dissimilar from the outstanding letter she penned to fans in February.

Not that this was too unexpected. It always made sense for the Bengals to drop the redesigned jerseys around the draft. A mid-March drop would be nice to build hype, but if the team spends big in free agency again, fans can probably be at peace with the timetable.
