Springboro 42, Oak Hills 10 - FINAL
The Oak Hills Highlanders took a 7-0 lead over Springboro halfway through the first quarter, but the Panthers responded in less than a minute to tie the game and then proceeded to score the next 35 points in the game. Springboro had 28 points in the second quarter, beginning with a 66-yard strike from Evan Ruzzo to Cade Lamb just 11 seconds into the quarter. Oak Hills fumbled the kickoff and Springboro scored on the very next play on a 37-yard pass from Ruzzo to Peyton Howard. That was two touchdowns for the Panthers in 14 seconds, turning a tied game into a 21-7 lead. No. 4 Springboro will again host in the second round, welcoming Mason.

Elder 49, Middletown 7 - FINAL
A party of purple got together in Price Hill as the visiting Middletown Middies tried to hand the Elder Panthers their first ever playoff loss at The Pit. Instead, Elder had big plays and big offense to take a 49-7 victory. The Panthers scored on the opening drive in three plays courtesy of a 59-yard rush by Luke Flowers. By the end of the first quarter, it was 21-0 Panthers. After recovering a fumbled Elder punt, Middletown scored its only points of the night on a Virgil Coleman 10-yard pass to Mikell Dorn. Elder’s first possession of the second half ended quickly when Justin Re caught a Ben Schoster pass and went 94 yards to the house. The Panthers outscored Middletown 21-0 in the final two quarters. Schoster’s night ended early, but his 9-11 night for 278 yards and four touchdowns was more than suitable. Re caught four of those passes for 180 yards and a pair of touchdowns while Flowers had eight rushes for 98 yards and two touchdowns. The Elder defense recorded six sacks, including two each from Ben Voelkerding and Liam Hulen. No.2 Elder will return for a home game against No. 7 Milford and former Panther coach Tom Grippa.

Milford 62, Western Hills 16 - FINAL
Eyebrows were raised when Western Hills took an 8-0 lead over the Milford Eagles in their playoff meeting. Everything quickly went back to normal as Milford then scored 56-straight points before finally topping the Mustangs 62-16. Mustang quarterback Oma Beckley opened the night with a 69-yard rush followed by an Izayah Camp two-point try for an 8-0 lead over host Milford. On the responding drive, Milford signal caller Austin Hardin found Reece Davis for a nine-yard touchdown in what would be the first of eight-consecutive touchdowns by the Eagles. Hardin was an economic 18-22 passing for 263 yards and five scores, including a pair of reviving touchdowns by both Davis and Natwan Webster. Milford advanced to week 12 and will head back to the road to visit No.2 Elder.

It was business as usual for Lakota West Friday night as the Firebirds continued its perfect season with a shutout win over Lebanon. Lakota West got contributions from every phase of the game Friday night, including punt return touchdowns from both Brennan Remy and Trent Lloyd. Offensively, Remy hauled in a touchdown from Mitch Bolden and Eudes Gonzalez Jr. ran for 46 yards and a pair of scores. Defensively, Lakota West recorded its third shutout win of the year, limiting Lebanon to just 181 total yards and forcing three turnovers, including a pair of picks from Finn Mason. Ohio State commit Malik Hartford had the other takeaway with his second interception of the season.

Five first-half touchdowns helped top-seeded Winton Woods beat La Salle as the two teams met in the postseason for the third-straight season. Running back Trey Cornist ran for 41 yards and two touchdowns while quarterback Van George had a rushing and passing score. Winton Woods got its seventh pick-six of the season and the fourth by Jermaine Mathews Jr. when the Ohio State commit gave the Warriors a commanding 28-6 second-quarter lead with a 29-yard interception return. Mathews Jr. would then end the first half with his first receiving score of the year. Cameron Calhoun had a pick, as well. La Salle got all 13 of its points courtesy of Mason Luensman, who kicked two field goals and hauled in a 30-yard touchdown from Patrick McLaughlin with 6:01 remaining for the Lancers only touchdown of the night.

Kings’ offense clicked to the tune of 500 total yards as the Knights raced past Sidney to open postseason play. Senior quarterback Will Kocher threw for over 400 yards for the second-straight week, finishing 25-of-37 for 446 and four touchdowns. Kocher connected with Michael Mussari (8 catches, 205 yards) for three touchdowns in the first half and found Paul Kelly on another. Jake Cameron had a game-high nine receptions for 152 yards. On the ground, Kings averaged just 2.4 yards per carry, but three of Jay Holubetz’s four attempts went for touchdowns in the first quarter. Defensively, Patrick Holubetz had a 25-yard pick-six.

Withrow continues to roll as the Tigers have now won seven consecutive games and have outscored opponents, 273-38, in that span. Withrow quarterback Troy Montgomery was a dual-threat Friday, throwing for 195 yards and two touchdowns and running for 96 yards and a pair of scores. Withrow had five players contribute at least 25 rushing yards, including Zion Shaw, who scored touchdowns on both of his attempts. For Loveland, running back Colton Endicott gave his team their only score of the night with a one-yard touchdown. He finished with a game-high 127 yards on 20 carries.

The Anderson Raptors rode their defense and the Griffin Scalf-Brodey Berg connection to an upset win over No. 7 Troy in the Region 8 playoffs. Anderson allowed its fewest points in a game since a week two shutout at Loveland as Troy mustered just 169 yards of offense and alone touchdown scored with 4:45 left in regulation. Meanwhile for Anderson, it found 433 yards of offense. Quarterback Scalf was 23-31 for 275 yards and four touchdowns plus 89 rushing yards and another ground score. Berg caught 7 passes for 159 yards and three scores and gave himself another touchdown by way of the rush. The win was not the only bug upset in that side of the bracket. No. 10 Anderson will host No. 15 Little Miami who beat previously undefeated Xenia by a field goal in two overtimes.

Defensively, Badin held Woodward to just 194 total yards and registered four interceptions, two of which were returned for touchdowns by Carson Cheek and Kyle Anderson.

The Cowboys’ defense registered a safety in the first quarter and notched its eight shutout of the season.

No. 13 seed Clinton-Massie delivered an early stunner as the Falcons went on the road and dominated No. 4 Unioto to open postseason play in Region 16. Per usual, the Falcons executed their ground-and-pound style, churning out nearly 350 rushing yards. Clinton-Massie had three players with at least 50 yards, including Logan Chesser, who ran for 134 and two touchdowns on 11 attempts. It’s Chesser’s fifth 100-yard effort of the season and he is approaching 1,000 yards on the year. Defensively, Clinton-Massie forced three turnovers and allowed less than 250 total yards en route to its third shutout in the last six games.

Three of Taft quarterback Javier Ison’s six completions Friday night went for touchdowns as the No. 2 seed Senators rolled over CHCA. Ison finished with 171 passing yards and added 47 yards on the ground and a score. Junior running back Charles Hawkins led the Senators’ ground game with 80 yards and two touchdowns. Senior wide receiver Antaeyo Stuckey had two touches on offense – a 60-yard rushing touchdowns and a 43-yard receiving score. CHCA’s lone score came on a Brayden Mitchum touchdown run that gave the Eagles a 7-6 lead after the first quarter. Mitchum finished with a game-high 98 yards on 24 attempts.

The Rockets scored three touchdowns in each of the first two quarters and their 42 points were more than enough to hold off Northridge. The Rockets stay at home in week 12, hosting No. 14 Eaton who is fresh off of an upset of Fenwick.

In a game that featured over 950 total yards of offense, Twin Valley South ran away with a road win over the higher-seeded Williamsburg Wildcats. Twin Valley South ran for 453 yards, led by Cais Kingsley who had 255 and four touchdowns. Brayden Koeller had 91 yards on 10 attempts and a hat trick of his own. Williamsburg quarterback J.J. Miller threw for 312 yards and two touchdowns and ran for a pair of scores. Alex Ervin and Bryce Lillie each had a receiving touchdown and went over 100 yards, combining for 15 catches.

He also ran for a team-high 70 yards and had a pick-six on defense to help Ludlow pull away early in the second half. Holy Cross was held out of the endzone until late, when Landyn Phillips ran for an 11-yard touchdown and converted the ensuing two-point conversion.

Over 400 yards of offense, including a nearly 300-yard rushing game advantage was more than enough for Covington Catholic in the regular season finale with Ryle. The Colonels had 444 yards of total offense, outgaining Ryle’s 231 yards and had a 314-22 yard advantage on the ground. Zaccary Roberts was 9-14 for 130 yards passing for the Colonels, but also added in 10 rushes for 120 yards with some trip to the endzone both ways. Leading 19-7 at the half, Covington Catholic outscored Ryle 28-7 in the rest of the way before the Raiders added a final touchdown from Jayce Harden with 16 ticks left on the clock.
