Greater Miami Conference

  • Lakota West 38, Hamilton 0 - FINAL

A career night for Mitch Bolden and another dominating defensive performance was the story Friday night as Lakota West rolled Hamilton to improve to 6-0. Through the air, Bolden finished 12-of-21 for 206 yards and three touchdowns, all to different receivers as Ben Minich, Malik Hartford and Eudes Gonzales Jr. all found the endzone. Brennan Remy led the Firebirds with five catches and Trent Lloyd had a game-high 46 receiving yards on three snags. On the ground, Bolden ran for two touchdowns. Defensively, Lakota West continued to dominate, yielding just 91 total yards and five first downs to the Big Blue. Miles Brankamp registered 12 total tackles for the Firebirds and Elijah Davis had a pair of sacks. Lakota West has now allowed 13 points or less in every game this season and just 20 total points in five GMC contests.

  • Colerain 22, Oak Hills 17 - FINAL

A 15-point second quarter propelled Colerain to a narrow win over Oak Hills Friday night, giving the Cardinals their second win in a row following an 0-4 start. The Colerain defense turned in some key plays, including Corey Myrick’s 85-yard pick-six, a safety and a stop on the final play of the game with Oak Hills threatening in the redzone. Colerain quarterback Zae Jennings threw a 68-yard touchdown to Jordan Robison (four catches, 126 yards) and crossed the century mark on the ground (123 yards) for the first time this season. Junior fullback Justin Rhodes ran for a touchdown for the second-straight week, finishing with 70 yards on 15 attempts. For the upset-minded Highlanders, quarterback Jaxon Schreiber ran for a score and threw for 236 yards and a touchdown to Ethan Grady. Kyle Toon led the Oak Hills’ receiving corps with six catches for 114 yards. Luke Barkley added six receptions for 57 yards.

Mason has won five-straight and used its defense once again to stay perfect in GMC play on the year. Mason is now allowing just 6.3 points per game this season and have held all six opponents to single digits. Caden Davis and Weston Simmons each had double-digit tackles for the Comets and Bryce Faulk supplied the game’s only turnover with a fumble recovery. Lakota East held Mason to just 2.8 yards per carry, but Comets’ quarterback Quinten Kaylor still ran for a pair of touchdowns and threw another to Braden Greer, who had five catches for 97 yards. Mason will travel to West Chester next week to face Lakota West with first place in the conference on the line.

It was the Reece Davis and Austin Hardin show Friday night as Milford bounced back from last week’s loss to improve to 5-1. Hardin finished 26-of-32 for 347 yards and three touchdowns, all of them going to Davis, who had nine catches for 144 yards. The Eagles found success on the ground, too. Natwan Webster led the way with 113 yards and three touchdowns on 15 carries. Little Miami took a 10-7 early in the second quarter on a touchdown pass from Grant Maupin to Brayden Bischoff. The duo would connect on a pair of scoring tosses for the Panthers. Bischoff finished with eight catches for 72 yards.

Brayden Everitt had a hand in each of Lebanon's first four touchdowns as the Warriors handed Turpin their sixth straight loss. Both Everitt and Brayden Kay rushed for over 100 yards as Lebanon rushed for 320 yards as a team. Devan Nigam led the Spartans with 214 passing yards.

Loveland has now won back-to-back games for the first time since 2016 after cruising past Walnut Hills. Loveland running back Colton Endicott finished with 155 rushing yards and four touchdowns on 15 attempts as the Tigers pulled away in the third quarter. The junior has now run for 100-plus yards three times on the year and had six touchdowns over the last four games combined. Walnut Hills got a touchdown pass from T.J. Nelson to Isreal Bradford in the second quarter to get on the board. The Eagles polished off the scoring on Mikey Jones four-yard touchdown run late in the fourth quarter.

Kings continued their undefeated run through the Eastern Cincinnati Conference with a convincing win over West Clermont. Will Kocher passed for 194 yards and accounted for three of the Knights' five touchdowns. Bryson Earley led West Clermont with 62 passing yards and 46 rushing yards.

Trey Cornist powered the Warriors to victory, rushing for 319 yards and five touchdowns on only 17 attempts. His total is the fifth most in school history. Winton Woods' defense came up with two interceptions, including one that Qierstin Williams returned for a touchdown. Griffin Scalf threw for 216 yards for Anderson, including 143 yards and two touchdowns to Brodey Berg.

Mariemont has answered its two-game losing streak from earlier this month with back-to-back wins to get back to .500 on the year. In a game that featured no second-half scoring, Mariemont opened the game with the lead and never trailed. J.D. Long hopped on a blocked punt and rumbled for a 33-yard touchdown to put the Warriors up early. Mariemont then got a pair of second-quarter touchdowns from running back Max Duckwall, who finished with 76 yards on 19 attempts. Finneytown battled back in the second quarter behind quarterback Marvin Siakam, who ran for a score and found Malik Williams for a 62-yard touchdown.

A pair of first-half touchdown passes from Alex Grace to C.J. Hayden was enough to lead Indian Hill past Taylor for the first win of the John Rodenberg era. Grace, who also kicked both extra points and added a 44-yard field goal to cap the scoring, finished 12-of-24 for 151 yards. Hayden led all receivers with six catches for 96 yards. Indian Hill's defense permitted just 176 total yards and held the visiting Yellowjackets to just 1-of-11 on third down.

Could the defending Division IV state-champions be returning to form? After an 0-4 start to the season, the Clinton-Massie Falcons have won back-to-back contests after rolling to a shutout win over Goshen Friday night. Clinton-Massie has now outscored Goshen, 224-30, over its five-game win streak over Warriors. Clinton-Massie continued to roll on the ground, racking up 370 yards on 39 attempts. Brody Clutter led the way with 122 yards and two touchdowns on 14 attempts. The senior has now run for 241 yards and five scores over the last two games combined. Logan Chesser has 248 rushing yards in that span after going for 85 yards Friday night, 78 coming on his third-quarter touchdown run. Clinton-Massie quarterback Keegan Lamb completed all three of his pass attempts for 110 yards, including a 63-yard touchdown to Brighton Rodman. Lamb also ran for 103 yards and a score.

  • Newport Central Catholic 42, Newport 26 - FINAL

Demetrick Welch Jr. and Quincy Barber/Kyle Lee put their teams on their backs, but it was Welch Jr.’s Newport Central Catholic squad that got the better of Newport. Welch Jr. dominated the ground game for the Thoroughbreds, scoring four times on 18 rushes while gaining 209 yards. Two of Welch Jr’s scores came in the fourth quarter, turning a 28-20 lead into a 42-20 advantage. Newport quarterback Lee was 29-47 passing for 331 yards and three touchdowns, all to Barber. Barber caught eight passes for 81 yards and the three touchdowns. Lee connected to Barber with just 23 seconds left in the first half, but a missed PAT left Newport trailing 21-20. The Thoroughbreds scored the next three touchdowns, all Welch Jr. run, to secure the win.

The Holmes Bulldogs put up over 400 yards of offense and 40 points to beat Holy Cross on the road. Holmes had a 22-0 lead after one quarter thanks to three big scoring plays, including a 48-yard run by quarterback Miguel Garcia to open scoring. Holy Cross scored twice in the final quarter, but both came in the final 3:27 of regulation. Holmes quarterback Miguel Garcia was 4-5 through the air for 83 yards with one touchdown and a pick with another 77 yards and a score on the ground. Both Curtez Hill and Emauryon Arnold had a pair of rushing touchdowns as Hill rushed for 166 yards and Arnold 54. For Holy Cross, quarterback Donovan Ambrocio was 14-31 with 201 yards and two scores with an interception Both of Ambrocio’s scoring passes went to Jordan Fabre who had four catches for 85 yards.
