Nick Lachey has been ordered to participate in anger management classes and attend Alcoholic Anonymous meetings following an altercation he had with a photographer.

The 98 Degrees member, actor, TV host and Cincinnati native was the subject of a March 2022 video where he was shown allegedly reaching into photographer Jody Santos' car to try and take the phone from her hands, punching her window and saying expletives.

Later on social media, Lachey said  said he "clearly overacted" during the situation after enjoying dinner with his wife, Vanessa Lachey, and a friend in Beverly Hills, California.

"I’ve been in this game long enough to know that their antics are sadly part of the deal," he wrote. "Stupid of me. Done."

Santos told the Daily Mail she is still waiting for an apology from Lachey and does not think she will have one "anytime soon."

Lachey has not been charged with misdemeanor assault and battery, according to a statement to The Enquirer from the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office and is instead participating in the LADA's Prefiling Diversion program.

"As part of these conditions he must participate in anger management classes and attend Alcoholic Anonymous meetings," The district attorney's office said in the statement. "Successful completion of the Prefiling Diversion Program will result in no criminal charges being filed."

Lachey is most notable for being in the 90's boy band 98 degrees. He and his brother, Drew, grew up and attended school in Cincinnati, as did Justin Jeffre. The other member, Jeff Timmons, also grew up in Ohio.

Lachey and his wife have also hosted the Netflix dating shows "Love is Blind," "The Ultimatum" and "Perfect Match."
