For the first time in four years, the Cincinnati Reds will have a normal Opening Day at Great American Ball Park.

Opening Day in 2020 didn't have any fans when the season started in July during the pandemic. In 2021, there was a capacity limit for the GABP crowd. A lockout meant the Reds started on the road last year, traveling to Atlanta for Opening Day.

Finally, things are back to normal. First pitch between the Reds and the Pittsburgh Pirates is scheduled for 4:10 p.m. Thursday (TV: Bally Sports Ohio and Local 12; Radio: 700-WLW).

The Reds finalized their Opening Day roster six hours before first pitch Thursday. Here are the lineups:

Hunter Greene is the starting pitcher. He will be the youngest Reds Opening Day starter (23 years old) since Frank Pastore in 1980.

India and Stephenson are the only two Reds players who in the Opening Day lineup last year. It's the first time since 2008 (Scott Hatteberg) the Reds have someone besides Joey Votto starting at first base, a 14-year streak. Steer and Benson are rookies, though they both made their MLB debuts at the end of last season.
