Cincinnati weather: Drier, cooler conditions this week after severe thunderstorms Sunday

Showers and thunderstorms are likely throughout the week, according to the National Weather Service.

Drier, cooler weather moves into the Ohio Valley region this week after severe thunderstorms led to several tornado warnings on Sunday.

According to the National Weather Service in Wilmington, the threat of severe weather has diminished in Greater Cincinnati. Low pressure and a cold front will push northeast on Monday, and lingering showers will eventually taper off.

Expect highs ranging from the upper 60s to the lower 70s.

Drier and cooler weather conditions will also move into the area from the mid-Mississippi Valley. An upper-level low over the western Great Lakes will rotate southeast across the region by Wednesday, bringing chances for precipitation this week.

The FOX19 Now Weather team reports that two separate tornadoes were suspected of developing in the Tri-State Sunday night in Brown and Highland counties. No injuries or fatalities have been reported.

The National Weather Service plans to conduct on-site damage surveys Monday.
