Cincinnati weather: More snow Friday, but it should end by the morning

The light snow showers that began Thursday will come to an end Friday morning, and temperatures this weekend will be near seasonally normal.

According to a hazardous weather outlook from the National Weather Service, scattered snow showers will come to an end this morning, which could result in slick spots on the road prior to the snow ending. Most interstates and main roads are clear from snow, but some state routes and back roads may have light accumulation, and the weather service is advising caution during the morning commute.

Some schools in the region are operating on delays or closed Friday.

Friday started out cold with temperatures in the low 20s but will reach a high of 42 after the snow ends in the morning. It could be windy, with gusts that could reach as high as 31 mph.

By Saturday, temperatures will be about 5-10 degrees warmer than normal.

Friday night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 33. Winds could gust as high as 32 mph.

Saturday night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 42 and rain likely, mainly after 2 a.m.

Sunday: Cloudy with a high near 47 and rain likely, mainly before 2 p.m.

Sunday night: Cloudy, with a low around 34 and a chance of rain, mainly before 2 a.m.

Monday: Cloudy, with a high near 41.

Tuesday: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 32 and a chance of snow after 8 a.m., mixing with rain after 2 p.m.

Wednesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 34 and a chance of snow.

Thursday: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 32.
