Cincinnati weather: Tornado warning in Grant County as strong storms approach
Update, 9:09 a.m.: The National Weather Service has issued a tornado warning in Williamstown, Dry Ridge and Owenton, in Grant and Owen counties in Kentucky until 9:30 a.m.

Previous reporting: It may be January, but dense fog, rain, thunderstorms and hail are possible Thursday morning for the Greater Cincinnati region.
According to a hazardous weather outlook from the National Weather Service, areas of fog are expected through day break, with patchy, dense fog possible. This will reduce visibility to less than a quarter mile at times.
In a special weather statement, the weather service also warns of a strong thunderstorm located near Patriot in Gallia County, Ohio, moving northeast at 50 mph. The storm could bring wind gusts up to 35 mph, which could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects and nickel-sized hail, which could cause minor damage to outdoor objects.
It will impact portions of Ohio, Dearborn, northeast Switzerland, northwestern Bracken, eastern Gallatin and Hamilton counties in Ohio and Kenton, Campbell, Grant, Pendleton and Boone counties in Kentucky.

The rain will continue into Thursday evening, where it will mix with snow, although little to no accumulation is expected.

Thursday: Patchy fog before 10 a.m. and showers and possibly a thunderstorm before noon ,then showers likely. Thursday night: Cloudy, with a low around 33 and a chance of rain showers before 2 a.m., then a chance of rain and snow showers. Little to no snow accumulation expected.
Friday: Cloudy, with a high near 35. Scattered rain and snow showers before 8 a.m., then a slight chance of snow showers between 8-11 a.m., then a slight chance of rain and snow showers after 11 a.m. Friday night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 24.
Saturday: Sunny, with a high near 37. Saturday night: Mostly clear, with a low around 27.
Sunday: Partly sunny, with a high near 47.
Monday (Martin Luther King Jr. Day): Mostly cloudy, with a high near 52 and rain likely, mainly after 1 p.m.
Tuesday: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 56.
Wednesday: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 54 and a chance of rain.
