Cinco de Mayo celebration to be held Sunday

Apr. 28—The city of Cleburne Parks & Recreation Department and the Cleburne Chamber of Commerce Foundation will celebrate Mexico's 1862 victory over the French at the Battle of Puebla, now known as Cinco de Mayo, on Sunday.

The festival held in the Cleburne Conference Center parking lot will include live music, food trucks, vendors, free Kids Zone, performances by Cleburne ISD students, ballet folkloric, dancing horses and luchadores/Mexican wrestlers and more.

This year there will be a Custom Car Show from noon to 5 p.m. and Hop Competitions presented by Nortex Diesel Services.

You can bring your lawn chairs, coolers, and whole family to enjoy the free event. The event runs from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
