CINNAMINSON, NJ — In a year worth forgetting, this Cherry Hill business was anything but forgetful. And for the right reasons.
Restaurants in particular played a big role in making 2020 a little more bearable.
Throughout the duration of the coronavirus pandemic, take-out, and, eventually, outdoor dining, brought a sense of normalcy to a year that was anything but.
Patch readers cited that and more in explaining why the establishment should be considered the best of the year. Below is a local restaurants nominated by them:
Bellisimo's Pizza was nominated by customer Jane Hill, who said its food, variety and customer service make it one of the best businesses around.
"Their food is delicious. They have a great menu," Hill wrote. "Owners Gino and Maggie are very thoughtful and friendly."
The restaurant persevered through the pandemic and even a recent closure caused by the coronavirus.
In a Facebook post, the pizza joint announced it would temporarily close after an employee tested positive for the coronavirus. Ultimately, Bellisimo's was closed from Nov. 17 to Nov. 23.
