Circle K is offering a hefty discount on gas prices Thursday in time for Memorial Day fuel-ups.

The national convenience store chain will slash 40 cents off per gallon as its "Circle K Fuel Day" promotion returns across the country. Customers can cash in between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. at any location that sells gas operated by Circle K while supplies last.

The 24-hour average price of the 10 cheapest fuel stations in Louisville was $3.40 as of Thursday morning, according to GasBuddy.
