We've had a host of catfish over the two series of Channel 4's The Circle, and while Alex playing and winning as Kate last year was the most successful, Katie playing as her son Jay this year has definitely been the most memorable.

In order to pretend to be a lad in his mid-20s, Katie unleashed a host of dreadful jokes and a never ending storm of hashtags. She also made some potentially very embarrassing comments about Jay, such as opening up about his hair loss.

Now that she's had a week back in the real world, Katie has had time to hear the reactions of the general public and, more importantly, Jay.

"When I got home, Jay was just so chilled," Katie exclusively told Digital Spy."Nothing bothers him. He agreed to (talking about his hair loss) before I went in. He knew about that and I asked 'am I allowed to say?' and he went 'of course, of course'.

"Oh my God, I would never say it on national TV if he'd say no. I'd never do that to him! I'd never make my kids look small!

"I've known Jay for 25 years, he's that cool. He's been to appear (on the live shows) and he's said no, he's not interested in cameras. I'm like 'please come', he's like 'no'."

She said that Jay (the real one) has actually had lots of messages from girls thanks to her being on the show, and people have given her a really nice reaction as well.

Now that she knows that she was so liked, she wishes that she could have gone in as herself and thinks maybe she could have won!

But looking at the current crop of players, Katie has her money on either Woody or Ella taking the crown.

The most recent episode saw the introduction of two new players, and the immediate blocking of one.

There was also the announcement of a brand new twist that can see one player become a Super Influencer who gets to block someone – but they have to do it face-to-face.

The Circle continues tonight (October 13) at 10pm on Channel 4.
