Cirque du Soleil performer suffers fall during 'The Beatles LOVE' show in Las Vegas

Cirque du Soleil's "The Beatles LOVE" show was cut short Sunday night after an acrobat fell during the finale.

The show was stopped to tend to the fallen aerial artist, confirmed Ann Paladie, a spokesperson for the company.

"As a precautionary measure and in accordance with our emergency response protocols, the show stopped to allow the emergency team to safely bring the artist backstage where he was immediately taken in good care by the show’s medical team," the statement read.

The aerialist is currently being monitored by the show's medical and coaching teams and is expected to return to the show soon.

"The Beatles LOVE" show is inspired by the iconic rock band and runs twice daily Tuesday through Saturday.

Cirque du Soleil has been the scene of several accidents in recent memory.

In January, a performer fell during a performance of "O" at the Bellagio hotel in Las Vegas during the Russian swing act, according to KTNV and the Las Vegas Review Journal.

And in 2013, Sarah Guillot-Guyard, a performer in the Las Vegas Cirque du Soleil show "KÀ" was killed during a performance in a 50-foot fall during the show.

Guillot-Guyard "was being hoisted up the side of the stage and then just plummeted down," audience member Dan Mosqueda told the paper. "Initially, a lot of people in the audience thought it was part of the choreographed fight. But you could hear screaming, then groaning, and we could hear a female artist crying from the stage."

In 2018, Yann Arnaud died after suffering injuries from a fall during the "Volta" show.
