City Council reverses stance, votes in favor of Faith Leach

After some back and forth, the Baltimore City Council voted in favor of Faith Leach as the city's chief administrative officer Monday. "I am excited to serve the citizens of the city of Baltimore," Leach said. Despite originally turning down her nomination, the seven members of the City Council Rules and Legislative Oversight Committee voted in favor of Leach's confirmation. Mayor Brandon Scott remained determined. "Trust me, Baltimore, we are better off with Faith Leach as city administrator," Scott said.
