'Your city is with each and every one of you': Vigil held for victims of suspected Stockton serial killer

On Wednesday, loved ones of the victims in the Stockton serial killings came together to mourn their loss alongside community leaders and others who too know the pain of losing a loved one to violence in the city. “He was a great man. He was a great man and it’s going to be very hard for me,” said Pia Lopez, the younger sister of Lorenzo Lopez, one of the victims that authorities say are connected to a series of killings by a single suspect in recent months. “I’m never going to forget the happiness and the joy.” The Lopez family came to the vigil Wednesday night at Stockton City Hall – the event was organized by 209 Times – alongside dozens of others.
