City to hold Arbor Day event next month

Jan. 31—In celebration of Georgia Arbor Day, the Brunswick Tree Board plans to give away free native saplings for city residents on Feb. 17 in Mary Ross Waterfront Park.

From 9 a.m. to noon, the city and other local organizations will be on-hand to speak with the public about the local ecology and the benefits of a strong tree canopy.
