City of Lynchburg temporarily closing Division of Billings and Collections Office for construction

LYNCHBURG, Va. (WFXR)—The City of Lynchburg’s Division of Billings and Collections Office, and teller windows will temporarily close to the public beginning Monday, Feb. 5.

The city says it has closed this section in the main lobby of city hall due to office construction and renovations. It is anticipated that operations as usual will resume the following week, however, teller windows and Utility Billing will remain closed until construction and renovation are completed. Renovation and construction are expected to continue for approximately three months.

Until then, the city is encouraging the public to make payments using one of the city’s self-service payment kiosks. They are located at:

  • City Hill: 900 Church St., 10th street side

  • Lynchburg Public Library: 2315 Memorial Ave

  • River Ridge Mall: 3405 Candlers Mountain Road near the Regal River Ridge cinema complex

Payments may also be made online at https://webapps.lynchburgva.gov/citylink. Payments can also be mailed to City Hall’s P.O. Box or placed in the drop box located at the City Hall kiosk.

While construction and renovations begin, residents can still contact Billings and Collections by phone at (434) 455-3850. Utility Billing can also be contacted at (434) 455-3840.
