Several restaurant and retail chains have announced plans for a Bartlesville location, while others are near completion on projects that have been in development.

In a Tuesday release, City of Bartlesville chief communications officer Kelli Williams announced that plans are moving forward for Shoe Dept. Encore to move into retail space in the former Kmart site and for iced-tea restaurant HTeaO to build a location on the northeast corner of Price Road and US 75.

Texas-based HTeaO will build a $946,000 store serving 25 flavors of freshly-brewed iced tea ranging from a 24-ounce cup to a gallon as well as some coffees.

In the release, Williams also noted several ongoing projects are nearing completion. Bricktown Brewery, which has been planned for several years and undergone numerous delays, is expected to complete construction by the end of April.

In January 2020, the Bartlesville City Council voted to allocate $151,470 in economic incentives to the project, which originally included both Bricktown Brewery and Jimmy’s Egg in the former Kmart parking lot. While Jimmy’s Egg has been delayed indefinitely, Bricktown Brewery is hiring employees for its almost-complete restaurant.
