The city of Sacramento's measure on homelessness being challenged in court

Voters in Sacramento will be able to vote on an ordinance that would allow the city to clear homeless camps if there is enough emergency shelter space available. The Sacramento City Council voted to put the "Emergency Shelter and Enforcement Act of 2022 ," also known as Measure O, on the upcoming November ballot. Four Sacramento organizations, each of which helps people who are experiencing homelessness, want Measure O off the ballot and are taking the issue to court.
