City services, offices closed for Fourth of July holiday

The City of Amarillo has announced the following schedule in recognition of the Fourth of July holiday as we celebrate our freedoms and rights as Americans.

As a reminder, fireworks are illegal in the city limits.

City Hall will be closed on Monday, July 4.

Amarillo City Transit will be closed on Monday.

The holiday schedule for Solid Waste (trash pickup) is as follows: For residential customers, Monday's routes will be serviced on Tuesday, July 5. Tuesday routes will be serviced on Wednesday, July 6. For ASL/poly carts, Monday poly cart routes will be serviced on Tuesday, and Tuesday routes will be serviced on Wednesday.

For commercial customers, commercial routes will be serviced on Tuesday.

Brush sites and the city landfill will be closed on Monday.

The Amarillo Public Library System will have normal hours of operation on Sunday from 2 to 6 p.m. and will be closed on Monday.

All city golf courses will have normal hours of operation during the holiday weekend, including on Monday.
