City of Tuscaloosa seeks to hire at least 15 people during job fair

The city of Tuscaloosa will host a job fair Thursday in an effort to fill 15 positions.

The human resources department is seeking candidates for meter readers, landscaping crew members and fleet services mechanics.

The job fair is scheduled for 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Tuscaloosa River Market, 1900 Jack Warner Parkway.

According to a news release, the city of Tuscaloosa offers on-the-job training and a full benefits package that includes paid time off, Blue Cross Blue Shield health insurance and membership in the Retirement Systems of Alabama.

Interviews will be conducted on-site and members of the city's human resources department will be available to help job candidates complete their applications.
