Keith Mitchell opened the week at the CJ Cup with a 62 and then began pulling away on Friday with his follow-up 64 at The Summit Club in Las Vegas. Mitchell, however, cooled down on Saturday with back-to-back double bogeys, and is currently four shots back of Rickie Fowler. Fowler is in position to win for the first time since the Waste Management Phoenix Open in 2019.
The Summit Club is playing host to the PGA Tour for the first time for this week’s event. The course is a Tom Fazio design and is playing 7,431 yards to a par of 72. The CJ Cup was moved from Korea to the U.S. for a second straight year.
