Former Covington Catholic High School standout CJ Fredrick has heard from the Cincinnati Bearcats and Xavier Musketeers among several other schools since entering the transfer portal, according to a report Friday via Twitter from Kentucky Sports Radio's Jack Pilgrim.

Fredrick averaged 6.1 points and 1.5 assists in 22.3 minutes per game in 27 games he played last season for the Kentucky Wildcats, including 15 starts. After transferring from Iowa, he missed the 2021-22 college basketball season after undergoing surgery to repair a hamstring injury that he suffered days after winning the 3-point shootout at Big Blue Madness.

In his Instagram post, Fredrick said he'll soon graduate from UK, and added that he'll "explore every option" for his future, including professional options.

Fredrick reportedly received interest from UC and XU before he committed to UK as an Iowa transfer. He scored 21 points against UC in Iowa's 2019 win against the Bearcats in Chicago.

Last August, Fredrick made 11 consecutive 3-pointers during practice in a video shared via Twitter on Tuesday by the UK men's basketball account.
