A 'Clark Griswold-style' home in Mitchell

Dec. 15—MITCHELL — Mitchell, South Dakota, has its own Clark Griswold this year. His name is Andy Mentele.

Continuing his family tradition, the Mitchell resident, with the help of his sons, Luke and Brady, have been decorating their house for 17 years. This year, they spent several hours covering his roof with colorful lights running the full length of his house.

Most known for owning and operating Dakota Pro Striping and Irrigation, Andy has decided to help spread holiday cheer by setting up holiday lights for other people around town. Andy's reason for decorating other homes is purely for the enjoyment and excitement.

You can check out the home at 715 Kynette Place in Mitchell. It's bright.
