Clarksville Police Department hires 9 new officers

"The addition of nine new police officers, who are the cream of the crop of applicants, will help our police department meet the growing needs of our city," Mayor Joe Pitts said. "After their extensive training at the academy and in the field, they will join their colleagues in responding to the public safety needs of our community."

The new officers are:

  • Joshua Siragusa

  • William Schwartz

  • Douglas Piecuski

  • Iziah Mazingo

  • Raymond Horton

  • Pono Frank

  • Demetrius Harris

  • Christopher Bush

  • Joseph Baggett

Pitts praised Crockarell's leadership of the department and said the city continues to seek applicants "who are above reproach, and will be honest, fair and lawful officers."

The new officers will attend the Tennessee Law Enforcement Training Academy on April 2. Until then, they will go through in-house training with the Clarksville Police Department training division.
