Clash in San Angelo: Javelinas, Rams set for titanic Division II matchup

This game was circled on the schedule way back in August with the major question being would the Javelinas reach this point of the season undefeated?

Angelo State was among the favorites to win the conference in preseason prognostications, and the Rams have lived up to the billing. Meanwhile, the Javelinas are also 7-0 this season, continuing to have a breakout season under third-year head coach Mike Salinas. But this week will be the toughest task for A&M-Kingsville against an Angelo State team that has been dominant much of the season. The Rams are outscoring their opponents 34-13 and have not allowed 100 total points yet this season.

A win by the Javelinas would put them in good position for the rest of the season to earn that coveted NCAA Division II playoff berth, but a loss does not necessarily knock them out of contention. Either way, this is a big game for both teams.
