Class of 2023: What to know about high school graduations in Tuscaloosa
The class of 2023 will receive their diplomas as Tuscaloosa area high schools hold graduation ceremonies beginning this week.
Six of the ceremonies are scheduled to be held at the Tuscaloosa Amphitheater, so downtown motorists can expect heavier-than-usual traffic along Jack Warner Parkway.
Here’s a look at when and where the class of 2023 will be honored:
Tuscaloosa County School System
Holt High School: 5 p.m. Thursday at Church of the Highlands, 721 Rice Mine Road NE
Brookwood High School: 7 p.m. Thursday at BHS, 12250 George Richmond Parkway
Hillcrest High School: 7 pm. Friday at the Tuscaloosa Amphitheater, 2710 Jack Warner Parkway
Northside High School: 7:30 p.m. Friday at NHS, 19230 Northside Parkway in Northport
Sipsey Valley High School: 10 a.m. Saturday at SVHS, 15815 Romulus Road in Buhl
Tuscaloosa County High School, 7 p.m. Saturday at the Tuscaloosa Amphitheater, 2710 Jack Warner Parkway
Tuscaloosa City Schools
Tuscaloosa City Schools will hold graduation for its three high schools over three days at the same location, the Tuscaloosa Amphitheater at 2710 Jack Warner Parkway, with the same start time, 6 p.m. Here's the city schedule:
Central High School: Monday
Northridge High School: Tuesday
Paul W. Bryant High School: Wednesday
Private schools
American Christian Academy: Held its ceremony on May 14 at the Tuscaloosa Amphitheater, 2710 Jack Warner Parkway
Holy Spirit Catholic High School: Saturday at the school, 601 James I. Harrison Jr. Parkway
Tuscaloosa Christian School: 3 p.m. Sunday at Northport Baptist Church, 1004 Main Ave.
Tuscaloosa Academy: 6 p.m. May 25, 420 Rice Valley Road N
North River Christian Academy: 7 p.m. June 1
