Jun. 21—Peyton Gable of Dalton was named to the College of Charleston spring 2021 president's list. To qualify for president's list (highly distinguished), students must earn a GPA of 3.8 or higher and complete a minimum of 14 semester hours. Gable is majoring in historic preservation/community planning.

The following students earned the distinction of faculty honors for spring 2021 at the Georgia Institute of Technology. This designation is awarded to undergraduate students who have earned a 4.0 academic average for the semester. Area students included:
