Classes resume Tuesday at Northmont High School after sprinkler malfunction

Classes will resume Tuesday after a water issue at Northmont High School.

Northmont City Schools said there was a sprinkler malfunction at the high school Monday which caused classes to be canceled.

A spokesperson for the district said they anticipate the high school will be open Tuesday and the issue will resolved and cleaned up.

This will be pending weather.

Classes were canceled Monday due to a water issue at Northmont High School.

Northmont City Schools said there was a sprinkler malfunction at the high school, a school spokesperson told News Center 7.

They are working to find out why it malfunctioned and to clean up the water so the high school will be back open on Tuesday.

The spokesperson said they were determined whether or not there would be school based on the cleanup efforts.

The water issue only impacted the high school.

The district issued an apology on its social media page Monday morning to parents for “any inconvenience this may caused.”
