Classic hip-hop artist and Harlem native Rob Base took to the Fest-a-Ville stage on Tuesday evening in front of a welcoming crowd at Waterfront Park in downtown Louisville.

Base has been performing for more than 30 years and is known for hits, "It Takes Two," "Get on the Dance Floor" and "Joy and Pain." During his set Tuesday night he asked the crowd if they liked old-school hip-hop, to which the answer was a resounding "Yes!" and from there, it was on.

Many in attendance danced and sang along as Base and DJ Capone played many classic hip-hop hits like "The Humpty Dance" from the Digital Underground, "Poison" by Bell Biv Devoe and "In Da Club" from 50 Cent.
