‘Classy or trashy?’ Zillow Gone Wild goes all in on Indiana house for sale. See why
There are some houses you know from the second you see them that this is your new “home.”
Then there are others where you have to take a step back and ponder if the interior is charming or needs to be demolished.
A house that hit the real estate market in Indianapolis, Indiana, may fall in the latter category if a popular social media page has its way.
The three-bedroom, two-bath home that’s listed for $520,000 has a unique look that’s spread across its 2,656 square feet.
Highlighted features in the historic home include:
Glorious views
An exterior spiral staircase
Second-floor balcony
Two-car garage
Separate motorcycle garage
Rooftop patio
Retro kitchen
Outdoor fireplace
Finished basement with grill
Wet bar
Home theater
But not everyone is a fan.
Folks on Zillow Gone Wild are a little perplexed when it comes to one particular feature of the home: all those mirrors, among other things.
“This house is a migraine nightmare,” one person observed. “So many reflective surfaces!”
“Even the garage is mirrored,” one person noted.
“In my head, I’m hearing the soundtrack to ‘Goodfellas’ played by a ska band,” another joked.
“That kitchen is giving me vertigo...” another said.
“I like the spiderweb door,” one person commented. “But even one of (the) lions out front has turned away in embarrassment.”
“Does it come with a lifetime supply of Windex?” another asked.
“I love it and hate it at the same time,” one person said. “I can’t handle those swirly metal doors, that blue floor, and the spiderweb door but I kinda like the tacky gold mirror walls and I love the outdoor fireplace.”
“Looks like the Windex heiress is selling her home,” another noted.
“Are we sure this isn’t the house in Goodfellas?” one person asked.
“Classy or trashy? You can decide with your own décor,” another said.
“Can you imagine the glare from the sun in some of those rooms,” one person observed. “Big windows, mirrors, shiny surfaces.”
“Contractor: ‘How many mirrors did you say you want?’ Homeowner: ‘All of them.’” another joked.
