Missing Clay County man with dementia found safe after search

UPDATE: The Clay County Sheriff’s Office released a statement that James “Jimmy” Edwards has been located safely.

ORIGINAL: The Clay County Sheriff’s Office needs the community’s help locating 72-year-old James “Jimmy” Edwards, who has early-onset dementia.

Jimmy is described to have grey hair, a mustache, and a beard.

Jimmy was last reportedly seen at his residence in the 8000 block of Floral Ridge Cir. In Keystone Heights around 7:00 a.m.

CCSO stated that Jimmy left his residence on foot. Jimmy Edwards was last seen wearing a red long-sleeve shirt, blue denim jeans and camo crock shoes. He is believed to also be wearing a silver necklace with his name and address on it.
