Claymont Foundation awards scholarships

The Claymont Foundation has awarded $151,180 in scholarships to current Claymont seniors, students at Buckeye Career Center and Claymont graduates currently attending college.

The following scholarships were awarded to sophomores who will be attending Buckeye Career Center:

  • Zachary M Douglas, $500 Carl McPeak Memorial Vocational Scholarship. He will study energy operations.

  • Dane Fawcett, $500 Carl McPeak Memorial Vocational Scholarship. He will study electrical systems technology.

  • Maximus Fellows, $500 Carl McPeak Memorial Vocational Scholarship. He will study welding.

  • Drew Fox, $500 Carl McPeak Memorial Vocational Scholarship. He will study electrical systems technology.

  • Ryan Jackson, $500 Spencer Monticelli Memorial Scholarship. He will study electrical systems technology.

  • Karson Ronald is the recipient of a $500 Carl McPeak Memorial Vocational Scholarship. He will study electrical systems technology.

The following scholarships were awarded to Claymont High School Seniors:

  • Abigael Abarca, $1,000 Glenn & Charlotte Stilgenbauer Foundation Scholarship and $1,500 Paul R. & Lois J. Sproul Memorial Scholarship. She will study international relations.

  • Riley Anslow, $1,000 Dave Adams Memorial Scholarship and $1,000 D. Sam & Jean Romig Memorial Scholarship. She will attend Marietta College where she will study music performance.

  • Alexa Brick, $1,000 Mary Lou Rice Memorial Scholarship, $500 Ted & Carol Gram Memorial Scholarship and $150 Dr. Leslie Harrold Charitable Fund Scholarship. She will attend The Ohio State University where she will study pediatric nursing.

  • Luke Caley, $1,000 Pocock Family Scholarship and $300 Dr. Leslie Harrold Charitable Fund Scholarship. He will attend Johnson University where he will study biblical studies.

  • Dawson Cox, $1,000 Larry & Greg Craft Memorial Scholarship and $500 Cliff & Erma Reneker Memorial Scholarship. He will attend The Ohio State University where he will study nursing.

  • Brooke Davis, $1,000 Marie & Hud Hillyer Memorial Scholarship and $1,000 John Stozich Memorial Scholarship. She will attend Kent State University at Tuscarawas.

  • Meadow Duvall, $1,000 John Stozich Memorial Scholarship and $350 Dr. Leslie Harrold Charitable Fund Scholarship. She will attend the University of Akron where she will study radiology.

  • Bailey Eddleman, $1,000 Dennison Alumni EF McCarroll Memorial Scholarship, $500 John Harmon Memorial Scholarship and $500 Clayton "Pete" Wolfe Memorial Scholarship. She will attend Wilmington College where she will study education.

  • Lauren Ferguson, $2,500 Eclipz Garabrandt & Viktorya Willett Memorial Scholarship. She will attend Stark State College where she will study neonatal and pediatric respiratory therapy.

  • MaKayla Frink, $1,000 John Stozich Memorial Scholarship and $800 Paul R. & Lois J. Sproul Memorial Scholarship. She will study early childhood education.

  • Emily Grant, $1,000 John Stozich Memorial Scholarship, $500 Harry “Ham” Kenney Memorial Masonic Scholarship and $200 Dr. Leslie Harrold Charitable Fund Scholarship. She will attend Marietta College where she will study sports medicine.

  • Naomi Hallman, $1,000 Marie & Hud Hillyer Memorial Scholarship and $500 Claymont Board of Education Scholarship. She will attend Bowling Green State University where she will study resort and amusement management.

  • Madison Houston, $1,000 John Stozich Memorial Scholarship and $1,000 Mary Lou Rice Memorial Scholarship. She will attend Muskingum University where she will study nursing.

  • Natalie Kinsey, $1,000 John Stozich Memorial Scholarship and $500 Ronnie Vinci Memorial Scholarship. She will attend Muskingum University.

  • Emily Luyster, $1,000 Ensign James Haverfield Memorial Scholarship and $1,000 John Stozich Memorial Scholarship. She will attend Miami University where she will study history and anthropology.

  • Savanna Mahaffey, $1,600 Paul R. & Lois J. Sproul Memorial Scholarship. She will attend Ashland University where she will study early childhood education.

  • Cole McCabe, $1,000 Bill Cox Memorial Scholarship. He will attend Capital university where he will study television and radio.

  • Heather McGlothlin, $1,545 Positron Science Club Scholarship and $150 Dr. Leslie Harrold Charitable Fund Scholarship. She will attend Youngstown State University where she will study biology.

  • Bryce Murray, $1,000 Glenn & Charlotte Stilgenbauer Foundation Scholarship and $700 Paul R. & Lois J. Sproul Memorial Scholarship. He will attend Kentucky Christian University where he will study worship leadership and youth ministry.

  • Daxx Peters, $1,000 Robert M Archer Endowment Scholarship and $900 Paul R. & Lois J. Sproul Memorial Scholarship. He will attend Wilmington College where he will study agriculture business.

  • Koi Preston, $1,000 John Stozich Memorial Scholarship and $1,000 Clyde "Pog" Ervin Scholarship. He will attend the University of Akron where he will study sports analytics.

  • Arianna Terakedis, $2,500 Eclipz Garabrandt & Viktorya Willett Memorial Scholarship. She will attend Kent State University Tuscarawas where she will study mechanical engineering technology.

  • Hannah Wallace, $1,000 John Stozich Memorial Scholarship and $650 Dr. Leslie Harrold Charitable Fund Scholarship. She will attend Kent State Tuscarawas where she will study speech-language pathology.

  • Kailey Watkins,a $1,000 First National Bank of Dennison Scholarship and $1,000 John Stozich Memorial Scholarship. She will attend Wheeling University where she will study business.

  • Sydney Whitman, $1,000 Bill Cox Memorial Scholarship, $500 Don and Helen Wright Memorial Scholarship and $200 Dr. Leslie Harrold Charitable Fund Scholarship. She will attend Kent Tuscarawas where she will study nursing.

  • Savania Whitten, $1,000 First Federal Community Bank Scholarship and $500 Quest Club Scholarship. She will attend Kent State Tuscarawas where she will study architecture and business.

  • Marlie Wolf, $1,000 Dennison Alumni EF McCarroll Memorial Scholarship and $1,000 Karen Ferguson Nelms Educational Scholarship. She will attend Kent State Tuscarawas where she will study education.

  • Marissa Anderegg, $1,575 Paul R. and Lois J. Sproul Memorial Scholarship. She is a student at Kent State University studying English.

  • Mia Applegarth, $1,275 Paul R. and Lois J. Sproul Memorial Scholarship. She is a student at Kent State University Tuscarawas studying nursing.

  • Caitlyn Baker, $1,700 Paul R. and Lois J. Sproul Memorial Scholarship. She is a student at Malone University studying early childhood education and intervention specialist education.

  • Madison Barber, $1,675 Paul R. and Lois J. Sproul Memorial Scholarship. She is a student at Kent State University studying accounting.

  • Ashley Beckley, $1,000 Collin and Shannon Fawcett Scholarship and $850 Mollie Huston Memorial Scholarship. She is a student at the University of Toledo studying business management.

  • Kayla Beckley, $1,000 Claymont Class of 1978 Scholarship and $750 Mollie Huston Memorial Scholarship. She is a student at Notre Dame College studying criminal justice and coaching.
