Clearwater’s Ruth Eckerd Hall announces its 2022-23 Broadway season

Broadway comes to Clearwater’s Ruth Eckerd Hall for its 2022-23 season, featuring productions not seen before at the venue including “Anastasia,” “Celebrating Aretha Franklin: R.E.S.P.E.C.T.” and “On Your Feet! The Story of Emilio and Gloria Estefan.”

Tickets for the music-driven season go on sale to the public at 10 a.m. Aug. 5 and are available by calling 727-791-7400 or visiting rutheckerdhall.com. The Raymond James Central Ticket Office at Ruth Eckerd Hall is open from noon to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and one hour prior to show time. Prices range from $35 to $100 for most shows.

Dates, times and performances are subject to change. Here is the lineup:

“Anastasia” (1 and 7 p.m. Dec. 4): The musical from the Tony Award-winning team behind “Ragtime” follows a young woman from the twilight of the Russian Empire to 1920s Paris as she seeks the mystery of her past.

“My Fair Lady” (7 p.m. Dec. 18): The Lincoln Center Theater production of Lerner and Loewe’s musical about a Cockney girl’s transformation includes songs “I Could Have Danced All Night,” “The Rain in Spain” and “Wouldn’t It Be Loverly.”

“Riverdance 25th Anniversary Show” (8 p.m. Jan. 17-19, 2023, tickets range from $38-$103): The Grammy Award-winning show that celebrates Irish and international dance has been reimagined with new lighting, projection and stage and costume design. (Tickets purchased for the April 2021 performances will be honored; call the ticket office for details.)

Blue Man Group (8 p.m. Feb. 2-3, 2023): The show features original music, custom-made instruments, drumming, comedy and audience interaction with the blue men.

“Celebrating Aretha Franklin: R.E.S.P.E.C.T.” (8 p.m. March 30, 2023): Follow the legendary singer’s journey to become the Queen of Soul with hits including “Natural Woman,” “Think,” “Chain of Fools” and “Respect.”

“On Your Feet! The Story of Emilio and Gloria Estefan” (8 p.m. April 7-8, 2023): The musical follows the life of the 26-time Grammy Award-winning husband-and-wife team and includes the songs “Rhythm is Gonna Get You” and “Conga.”

“Cats” (7 p.m. April 23, 2023): Andrew Lloyd Webber’s smash musical includes the staple “Memory” and has new choreography and sound and lighting design.
