Clemson basketball score vs. Florida State: Live updates

Clemson basketball will enter Saturday’s game at Florida State with a top-25 ranking, sole possession of first place in the ACC and plenty of injury concerns in the backcourt.

The No. 23 Tigers, off to their best ACC start since joining the league in 1953-54, could be without all three of their starting guards against the Seminoles.

Point guard Chase Hunter has missed three straight games with a foot injury, and shooting guard Alex Hemenway has missed nine straight with one of his own. Earlier this week, Brevin Galloway needed emergency groin surgery. He will miss at least two games.

Clemson coach Brad Brownell said there was a chance Hunter could’ve returned Tuesday in the 72-51 win against Georgia Tech, but he was held out to get four more days of healing instead.

Regardless, the Tigers will rely on their defense. Clemson leads in the ACC in field goal percentage defense and has held its past two opponents, Virginia Tech and Georgia Tech, under 52 points.
