Clemson basketball vs. Georgia Tech: Scouting report, score prediction

CLEMSON – One of the best home-field advantages in college football is Clemson's Memorial Stadium.

Forty straight wins, an ACC record spanning six seasons, finally ended in the final regular-season game of 2022 with a narrow defeat, 31-30, against South Carolina.

Could the house next door provide something similar for the basketball team?

ACC leader No. 19 Clemson has won 14 straight at Littlejohn Coliseum, the fifth-longest active streak in the country. Victories have ranged between a 101-94 double-overtime shootout against Penn State in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge to a 51-50 tractor pull Saturday against defending ACC champion Virginia Tech. For the second straight game, it was a sellout. Students camped out in line to get in on a limited share of tickets.

The Tigers play at 9 p.m. Tuesday at home against Georgia Tech. They have come to expect a push – or a pull, if necessary – from fans at the end.

"It's been awesome," Tyson said. "We're so thankful for them. Best fans in the country. We just hope they keep coming out and supporting us because they really do make a difference."
