Clemson received a commitment on Monday from the first linebacker for the current class when highly touted Jamal Anderson Jr. announced via social media he will play for the Tigers.

Anderson is ranked No. 173 overall and No. 11 at his position in the 247Sports Composite. The 6-foot-4, 202-pound prospect from Hoschton, Georgia, is the son of former Falcons running back Jamal Anderson Sr. He chose the Tigers over finalists Utah, Florida, Penn State and Michigan State. His father played for Utah.
