Clemson football vs. NC State: Our final score predictions are in.

Clemson football will host NC State in a ranked battle on Saturday.

Clemson is also the Week 5 site for ESPN's College GameDay, which will take place before the matchup. The Tigers, coming off an overtime win against Wake Forest, will look to extend their undefeated streak against the Wolfpack. The Tigers are ranked at No. 5 in the USA TODAY Sports AFCA Coaches Poll, while NC State is ranked at No. 10.

While the Wolfpack may also attempt to extend their undefeated streak, Clemson will be NC State's first ranked opponent this season.

Scott Keepfer, Clemson beat reporter

Clemson 28, NC State 24: With the threat of residual rain and wind from Hurricane Ian declining substantially, this game between Top 10 ACC foes could turn out to produce more points than I originally thought. The Wolfpack probably isn’t intimidated by Clemson anymore, but I simply can’t see them strutting into Death Valley and ending the nation’s longest active home winning streak at 36 games.

David Thompson, NC State beat reporter

NC State 14, Clemson 13: With Hurricane Ian heading towards South Carolina Saturday, expect conditions to be as bad as possible for a football game. This will be a wet and wild affair that will be a cornerstone of this rivalry for years to come.

Jim Rice, sports editor

N.C. State 31, Clemson 23: Iffy weather makes predicting this game iffy, but I like N.C. State because of its defense. Both offenses are capable of big plays, but the Wolfpack’s defense has been among the best FBS. Clemson’s defense hasn’t, especially against the pass. The secondary could be healthier this week, but it needs a far better pass rush to have a chance.

Nick Gray, trending sports reporter

Clemson 31, NC State 14: The Tigers will be motivated by their defensive issues last week, and NC State's offense is a much better matchup for their ailing secondary. Will Shipley scores twice, Devin Leary has multiple turnovers and Clemson rolls to a comfortable victory.
