The UNC Wilmington and Clemson softball teams meet in the 2022 NCAA Softball Tournament Clemson Regional first round on Friday, May 20.

Clemson defeated UNCW 9-0 in five innings.

UNCW went to 32-14 overall. Clemson improved to 40-15 overall.

Clemson advances to face Auburn at 1 p.m. ET on Saturday, May 21. UNCW will play the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns at 3:30 p.m. ET on Saturday.

Clemson's 6-run first inning

Clemson scored six runs in the first inning for a 6-0 lead vs. UNCW.

Clemson's Alia Logoleo 2-run home run

Clemson shortstop Alia Logoleo hit a two-run home run down the left-field line in the bottom of the first inning. Logoleo's homer put Clemson up 4-0 vs. UNCW.
