Clermont County judge investigation closed, no charges to be filed
A Clermont County judge won't face any charges after an investigation into allegations that he engaged in sexual activities in the workplace during work time.
Warren County Prosecutor David Fornshell said the matter has been closed in an email to The Enquirer Wednesday.
Fornshell was appointed as the special prosecutor to oversee the investigation into Municipal Court Judge Jesse Kramig. Clermont County Prosecutor Mark Tekulve requested a special prosecutor for the investigation in a court filing on July 12, just after Enquirer media partner Fox19 submitted a records request related to Kramig and court administrative assistant Allison Kersker, according to Fox19's reporting.
Two days later, a relative of Kersker's husband complained to the Clermont County Sheriff's Office about Kramig engaging in sexual activities with Kersker in the workplace during work time.
A deputy with the sheriff's office asked the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation to look into the allegations in July, but the bureau declined the request.
Kramig is running unopposed for reelection this November. He could not immediately be reached for comment.
