On Tuesday, Cleveland Bagel Cafe opened its new location in Kent after some delays.

The store, located at 436 E. Main St., where Kent's Starbucks was housed, is another of businessman Mike Beder's ventures. Beder also has a hand in the recently opened Lake House Kitchen & Bar, previously the Twin Lakes Tavern.

According to an email from Beder, the new cafe will only be open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. while they get their feet under them. Their hours will expand next week after operations have been smoothed out.

The opening has been delayed somewhat due to the building approval process. In a Facebook post from Aug. 23, the cafe explained the holdup.

"Our building is owned by the State Of Ohio and this summer, we've been going through the State’s building approval process. While the process of bringing a 100-year-old building up to code can be quite in depth, things are getting really close," the post read.
