Browns right guard Wyatt Teller was named to this week's Pro Bowl games in Las Vegas.

It'll be Teller's second Pro Bowl appearance, having been named to the event last season as well. He had originally been chosen as a Pro Bowl alternate this year, but was added to the game as a replacement for Kansas City's Joe Thuney.

The addition of Teller will give the Browns four representatives in the event, which takes place at 3 p.m. Sunday. This year, the event will feature skills competitions and a non-contact flag football game.

Left guard Joel Bitonio, running back Nick Chubb and defensive end Myles Garrett were all chosen to play in the game.

Teller battled a calf injury he sustained in a Week 6 loss to the New England Patriots all season. The injury cost him two full games against Baltimore and Cincinnati and most of a third in Week 10 at Miami.

Teller played 100% of the Browns' offensive snaps in 12 of the 15 games in which he played.

NFL salary cap for 2023 season reported to be $224.8 million

NFL Network reported on Monday the league's 32 teams have been informed that the salary cap for the upcoming season is going to be $224.8 million. That's an increase of $16.6 million from the 2022 salary cap of $208.6 million.

For the Browns, according to Spotrac.com, are projected to be over the cap by $14,277,417. A big reason for that is because of the bump in Deshaun Watson's contract.

Watson's 2022 cap hit was $9,395,500, or 4.32% of the cap. For 2023, his cap hit will be $54,993,000, which is 21.79% of the cap.

The Browns have maneuvers they can do lower that number. There's restructuring of deals, including Watson, Teller, Bitonio, Garrett and receiver Amari Cooper.

There's also the possibility of cutting safety John Johnson III post-June 1. That would cost a mere $3.75 million against the cap while creating $9.75 million in cap space.
