The Browns are bringing back another of their linebackers who had been an unrestricted free agent.

The Browns officially re-signed linebacker Jordan Kunaszyk Monday to a one-year deal. The deal, originally reported on Sunday, is reportedly worth $1.232 million, with $500,000 fully guaranteed. The base salary will be $1.08 million.

Kunaszyk went from training camp pickup to practice-squad player to special-teamer to regular in the linebacker rotation over the course of last season due to a variety of injuries. The irony was that he was become the fifth Browns linebacker to end the season on injured reserve when a hand injury landed him there prior to the Week 17 game at Washington.

The 26-year-old out of the University of California was signed by the Browns during training camp after spending the 2020 and 2021 seasons with Washington. However, he was among the final cuts in August.

The Browns originally brought him back to the practice squad, but he was a game-day elevation for the first two games of the season. He was eventually signed to the active roster on Sept. 21, before the Week 3 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Kunaszyk played in a career-high 15 games for the Browns, including two starts. He played 101 defensive snaps and 317 special-teams snaps during the season.

Kunaszyk finished with 22 combined tackles, including 14 solo stops. He also forced a fumble.

The Browns have re-signed three of their unrestricted free agents: linebacker Sione Takitaki, center Ethan Pocic and Kunaszyk. They also brought back cornerback A.J. Green on a one-year deal after they declined to sign him to an exclusive-rights tender.
