Cleveland Browns vs New York Jets Hall of Fame Game excites social media
Surprising, perhaps, only to that person stuck on an uncharted island somewhere. The NFL announced Tuesday that the Browns will play the New York Jets in the Pro Football Hall of Fame Game at Tom Benson Stadium at the Pro Football Hall of Fame Aug. 3.
The Browns have former left tackle Joe Thomas entering the hallowed halls while the Jets will be represented by Joe Klecko, a member of the famed New York Sack Exchange from the 1980s, and lockdown cornerback Darrelle Revis.
The game is nationally televised and each team's starters may play for a series of downs – fans hope. They, however, were just pumped about the prospect of the game judging from social media reactions.
With Jets vs. Browns, the NFL apparently possesses a sense of humor
Of course it’s the Jets. NFL was like…what loss was the most devastating for the #Browns last year. Here ya go! #HOFgame

The Jets scored two touchdowns in the last 90 seconds of their game Sept. 18 against the Browns at FirstEnergy Stadium to beat the Browns 31-30.

A little Hall of Fame love for Clay Matthews would have been nice and appropriate
Joe Klecko makes HOF but #Browns Clay Matthews doesn’t get enough votes? #NFL

Browns fans should leave Canton as they find it after Hall of Fame weekend
60 miles separate First Energy Stadium in Cleveland and Tom Benson Stadium in Canton. HOF weekend will have a rowdiness factor not seen since ‘99, the last time the #DawgPound descended upon Canton (Ozzie’s induction + the #Browns long awaited return in the HOF game). https://t.co/OUPmRpoSr1
